Madeline N. Crysler, 80, formerly of Marietta, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 18, 2006, surrounded by her family. Born in Hinsdale, Illinois on Monday, March 9, 1925, she was the daughter of Lucien Nelson Sizer and Mabel Guyette. Madeline lived in South Onondaga until moving to Marietta where she lived most of her life. She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church. Madeline was formerly employed by the Camillus Cutlery Co. in the early 60s. Interests of hers included baking, especially brownies and cookies and watching the birds that would visit her birdfeeder when she resided on Slate Hill Road in Marietta. She also enjoyed her friends at Loretto. Madeline's husband, Harold E. Crysler, died January 15, 1989. Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, Norma Jean and Robert Burns of Quemado, New Mexico, Chris and John Lancaster of Potsdam, Judy Crysler of Martinsburg, West Virginia and Susan and Matthew Shoff of Camillus; grandchildren, Brittany and Matthew E. Shoff of Camillus and Melissa Lewis of West Virginia and great-granddaughter, Mariah Lewis. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 21, 2006 at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus with Rev. John Quinn officiating. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday, February 20, 2006 at the funeral home. Spring burial will be in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Navarino.
