Madeline M. Raite, 100, of Camillus, passed away Friday at Elderwood Health Care at Birchwood. Born and raised in Canastota, she moved to Camillus in 1976. Madeline was a graduate of the College of New Rochelle and received her master's degree from Syracuse University. She worked for 29 years as a guidance counselor for the Greece School District before retiring in 1976.
Madeline was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church and a member of the NYS Retired Teachers’ Assn. An avid bridge player, she loved traveling, but most of all enjoyed spending time with her family.
Madeline was predeceased by one sister and two brothers. Surviving are her sister, Constance "Connie" Frazier of Liverpool; and several nieces and great-nieces.
Services will be private. Madeline will be laid to rest in Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum, St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt.
