Madeleine F. Cooke

Madeleine F. Cooke, 95, of Camillus, passed away Sunday, October 15, 2017 at Van Duyn. Born in Montreal, Canada, she moved to the U.S. in 1955 and resided in the Syracuse area since 1957.

Madeleine retired in 1983 from Crouse-Irving Memorial Hospital. She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church and enjoyed knitting, reading, and gardening but above all, loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Madeleine was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence; and son, James.

Surviving are her daughter, Doreen Monroe of Ft. Myers, FL; sons, Donald (Susan) of Lysander and David (Lisa) of Bridgeport; sister, Jacqueline; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

There will be no calling hours.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 18 at 10 a.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Madeleine will be laid to rest in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Church, 5600 W. Genesee St., Camillus, NY 13031.
