Lynne B. Martin, 79, of Largo, FL, formerly of Minoa, passed away March 1 at Loretto. She was born on May 11, 1937 to the late Carlton Bowles and Bernice Wood of Evans Mills, NY. Lynne graduated from Theresa High School and attended SUNY Potsdam. She was employed with Fremont Elementary School in East Syracuse until retiring in 1995 and previously worked for Years to Grow Nursery School in Liverpool, Jack and Jill Nursery School in DeWitt and Village Nursery School in Fayetteville. Lynne volunteered for Lyncourt Cub Scouts of America, Minoa Girl Scouts and Minoa-Kirkville Athletic Association. She enjoyed spending her winters in Lake Seminole Resort in Largo, FL and summers with her family in Chaumont, NY.
Lynne was predeceased by her loving husband, Richard, in 2011; sisters, RoseMary, JoAnne and Bethany; and brother, John.
Surviving are her children, Christopher (Elizabeth) Martin of Chittenango, Richard (Sharon) Martin Jr. of Sackets Harbor, Lori (James) McMurray of Conway, SC and Robin (Edward) Mulpagano of Camillus; grandchildren, Amanda, Heather and Declan Martin, Alexis, Hailey and Ryan Martin, Danielle and Michael Emmerling and Nicholas and Camryn Mulpagano; and great-granddaughter Riley.
Relatives and friends may call Friday, April 7 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, April 8 at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, Camillus. Burial will be at a later date.
