Lucille M. O'Hara, 84, of Camillus, passed away Saturday, July 9, 2011 at Van Duyn Home & Hospital. Born in Syracuse on Wednesday, April 27, 1927, she was the daughter of Earl B. Cox and Gertrude F. McNeil Cox. A lifetime resident of the Camillus and Syracuse area, she graduated from Liverpool High School and Crouse Irving Hospital School of Nursing. Lucille was a former nurse with Bluto & Palmer Family Practice. She was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother. A communicant of St. Joseph's Church, she was a member and past president of the Legion of Mary. Lucille was also a member and past president of Camillus Business and Professional Women’s Club. Surviving are her husband of 60 years, Edward of Camillus; children, James (Gail) of Syracuse, William (Jean) of Skaneateles, Eileen O'Hara of Bradenton, Florida, Daniel (Sheila) of Rutland, Vermont, Timothy (Kristen) of Camillus, Michael (Louise) of Syracuse, Patrick (Robin) of Stamford, Connecticut, and John (Jennifer) of Camillus; sisters, Janice (Guy) Lovell and Jean McCarthy, both of Camillus, and Phyllis Wright of Syracuse; 18 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. Relatives and friends may call Tuesday, July 12 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 13 in St. Joseph’s Church. Lucille will be laid to rest at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 16 in Maplewood Cemetery, Camillus.
