Lucille Sargent Beil, 86, of Camillus, passed away Sunday, May 9, 2010 at Community General Hospital. Born in Burlington, Vermont on Monday, June 4, 1923, she was the daughter of C.A. Sargent and Annie Miller Sargent. She lived in Upstate New York. A graduate of Syracuse University, Lucille received her Bachelor’s degree in 1945 and Master’s degree in 1948. She taught for 25 years in various schools in Upstate New York, retiring from Rochester City School District. Lucille was a member of Robinson Memorial United Presbyterian Church. Also, she was a member of Eastern Star, DAR, Phi Mu Sorority, SU Alumni Groups,NYSUT,and Fortnightly Group of Geneva, NY. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, crocheting,reading, and traveling. Lucille was predeceased by her parents, C.A. and Annie Sargent. Surviving are her husband of 63 years, William; daughters and sons-in-law, Marilynn and Steven Schroeder of Fayetteville, Susan and John DeWolf III of Chappaqua,and Nancy Beil of Camillus, brother and sister-in-law, Clealand and Barbara Sargent of Watertown; sister-in-law, Louise Inga Salvaterra of Solvay; grandchildren, Kristen Schroeder of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Heather Schroeder of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and Jennifer (Leo) Farber, Rebecca DeWolf and fiancé, Michael MacGregor, all of Washington, DC, and John IV and Melissa DeWolf, both of Chappaqua. There will be no calling hours. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, May 14 at Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Entombment will be in Woodlawn Mausoleum, Syracuse.
