Louise Waterman

Louise H. Waterman, 92, of Camillus, died Tuesday, November 23, 2004 at home. Born and raised in Port Byron, she was the daughter of Clarence and Elizabeth Hadden. She lived in Camillus since 1939. She was a graduate of Cortland Normal School who taught in Port Byron and later taught social studies in the West Genesee Schools. Louise was a former church organist at Skaneateles Methodist, Camillus Baptist and Camillus First Methodist Churches. She was a member of Camillus First United Methodist Church, Salvation Army Womens Auxiliary and Owasco Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. A third-generation competitor in the New York State Fair, Louise won many awards for her jams, jellies and pickles. Her husband of 65 years, Asaph Ace Waterman, died May 12, 2003. Surviving are her daughter: Helen Lyons of Camillus; son: Richard Waterman of Marcellus; seven grandchildren: Barbara Kellar of New Britain, Pennsylvania; Richard Waterman, Jr. of Hampstead, Maryland; Mark Waterman of Bethel, Connecticut; Elizabeth Lyons of Camillus; Robert Lyons of Camillus; Andrew Lyons of Camillus and Daniel Lyons of Pennsville, New Jersey; great-grandchildren, Abigayle Kellar of New Britain, Pennsylvania; Shane Kellar of New Britain, Pennsylvania and Emily Lyons of Pennsville, New Jersey. Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, November 28, 2004 at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Friends may call Saturday, November 27, 2004 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be Monday, November 29, 2004 in Maplewood Cemetery, Camillus. Contributions may be made to the Dewitt Community Church Organ Fund, 3600 Erie Blvd., Syracuse, NY 13214
