Lorraine Charlotte Bailey

Lorraine C. Bailey, 80, of Camillus, formerly of Tipp Hill, passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at home. Born in Syracuse on Sunday, July 15, 1928, she was the daughter of Charlotte Tymofy Czarnecki and Walter Czarnecki. A graduate of Sacred Heart High School, Lorraine was a former employee of New Process Gear and homemaker. She was an avid reader and will be remembered for her sharp wit. Lorraine was predeceased by her husband, Harold E. Bailey, in 2003. Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, Jeffrey and Darlene Bailey of Camillus and Patrick and Lisa Bailey of Lorton, Virginia; sister and brother-in-law, Mary Jane and Robert Lamont and brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Dorothy Czarnecki, all of Tully; one granddaughter; four step-grandchildren; and 14 nieces and nephews. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 23, 2009 in St. Patrick’s Church, Syracuse, where a funeral Mass will be celebrated. Relatives and friends may call Friday, May 22, 2009 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Lorraine will be laid to rest 9 a.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2009 in the Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to CNY SPCA, 5878 E.
