Lillian Schmidt, 89, of Camillus, passed away Sunday at Loretto. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse and Camillus area, she was a waitress at Fairmount Bowling Center and was also formerly employed by Conston Corp. Lillian was a former member of Spirit of Syracuse, Sweet Adelines, Onondaga Hill Singers and Note-A-Belles. She was a communicant of Holy Family Church and former Eucharistic minister. She was also a member of the Camillus Elks Ladies Auxiliary #2367.
Lillian was predeceased by her first husband, Paul E. Schmidt; second husband, Stanley Cornue; daughters, Christine Dwyer and Elaine Pizzolato; and brother, Roy Ploski.
Surviving are her daughters, Cindy (Tony) Martin of East Syracuse and Heidi Gotham of Camillus; son, Paul (Nicole) Schmidt of New Woodstock; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Delores Wells; cousin, Mitzi Pirro; and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Monday, July 19 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, July 20 at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Church, 127 Chapel Dr., Syracuse. Lillian will be laid to rest in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
