Leslie “Les” E. Eassa, 81, of Camillus, passed away Wednesday at home, surrounded by his loving family. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, he was a graudate of Central Tech High School and served in the US Army. Les was employed with New Process Gear for 29 years, retiring in 1999. He was a communicant of Holy Family Church and member of the American Legion Post 17 and UAW 624. Les enjoyed playing cards, watching the History Channel, golfing, boating at camp and watching SU Basketball, even though they cause heartburn. He also enjoyed spending time with the snowbirds at The Bahamian Club in New Smyrna Beach, FL. Above all, he loved spending time with family, especially watching movies and playimg cards with his grandchildren.
Leslie was predeceased by his parents, Andrew and Penelope; sister, Rita Abraham; and brothers, Frank and Victor Eassa.
Surviving are his wife of 56 years, the former Sharon Tetley; daughter, Dawn (Mike) Bosse of Charlotte, NC; son, Chad (Rebecca) Eassa of Onondaga Hill; grandchildren, Joshua, Brianna and Benjamin Eassa and Leslie and Justin Bosse; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, February 13 at 9 a.m. in Holy Family Church, Syracuse. To attend the live streamed memorial Mass, please visit Holy Family Church’s website, and click on his service. Burial will be private.
