Kurt B. Peterson

Kurt B. Peterson, 81, of Cicero, passed away Thursday at The Cottages at Garden Grove. Born in Salem, MA, he spent most of his life in the Syracuse area. Kurt graduated from Solvay High School and earned a bachelor’s degree from Hobart College. He was an Army veteran and retired from Mid-State Contracting after 30 years. Kurt was an avid sports fan, especially of the New Orleans Saints, NY Yankees, Boston Celtics, and SU athletics. He also enjoyed attending car shows, was a classic car enthusiast, NASCAR fan, and loved traveling, listening to music and collecting music memorabilia.

Kurt was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Doris; first wife, Margaret; and grandson, Nicholas.

Surviving are his wife, Bonita of Bridgeport; daughter, Karen (Warren) Bauder of Camillus; sons, Kevin (Lori) of Cicero and Thomas of Jeannette, PA; brothers, Eric (Kathy) of Mooresville, NC and Guy (Lilly) of Charleston, SC; grandchildren, Nathan, Alecia, and Noah Peterson and Brandon Bauder; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be private.
