Kristen E. Lape, 44, of Camillus, passed away Tuesday at St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center. Born in Walton, she moved to the Syracuse area in 1992. A graduate of West Genesee High School, Kristen earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of New Orleans. She was employed as an analyst for National Grid. Kristen enjoyed kickboxing, loved spending time with her family and being a “hockey Mom” to three sons, being their biggest fan at their games.
Kristen was predeceased by her mom, Margery Coon.
Surviving are her sons, Nathan Kloepfer of Brunswick, GA, Carter and Jonathan Lape both of Camillus; sisters, Karen (Christian) Sweeney of Syracuse, Kendra (Brian) Knebel of Rochester; father, John Kloepfer and stepmother, Linda Howard- Kloepfer of Greer, SC; stepsisters, Jessica (Seamus Naughton) Howard of Westhampton, Siri (Maxwell Quinlan) Howard of Greer, SC, Joanna (Alan) Feuer of Albany and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Saturday, November 6 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee Street, Camillus.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, November 7 at 1:00 p.m. at the Westminster Presbyterian Church, Auburn.
