Kent R. Pitcher, 67, of Marcellus, passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at VA Medical Center. Born in Auburn on Monday, December 7, 1942, he was the son of Walter C. Pitcher and Juanita Mae Kent Pitcher. He lived in Wasilla, Alaska before moving to Marcellus in 2001. Kent was a veteran of the Vietnam War and a graduate of Matanuska-Susitna Community College in Palmer, Alaska. He was employed by Mercer Transportation. Kent was an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending time with his family. Surviving are his daughters and son-in-law, Kim Brown of Marcellus and Dawn and Brian Macholl of Camillus; grandchildren, Brandon and Ryan Pitcher and Mariah and Joshua Macholl; great grandson, Kent Pitcher; and brother and sister-in-law, Walter and Mary Jane Pitcher of Cayuga. Services will be private. Kent will be laid to rest in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Buranich Funeral Home, Camillus.
