Kenneth P. Blair, 78, of Syracuse, passed away Thursday, November 16, 2017 at home. Born in Putnam, CT, he moved to Syracuse in the 1960s. A graduate of Gouverneur High School, he was a Navy veteran and worked for Church & Dwight. Kenneth was a communicant of St. Brigid & St. Joseph Church and a member of the American Legion Tipperary Hill Post and Moose Club in Syracuse. An avid hunter, he also enjoyed gardening, animals and sports, especially the Red Sox and SU.
Kenneth was predeceased by his daughter, Lana DuBray, in 2015; and son-in-law, Randy Wilson, in 2011.
Surviving are his wife of 38 years, the former Bonna Freeman; daughters, Sandy Blair of Watertown and Korena Wilson of Elbridge; sons, Robert Blair of Indianapolis, IN, Henry Blair of Syracuse, Brian (Bettina) Banner of Texas and Jason Banner of Syracuse; sister, Sandra Ritchie of New Smyrna Beach, FL; 18 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; beloved dogs, Kodee III and Wimpy II; and close friend, Fred (Carol) Kucharski of Manlius.
Relatives and friends may call Friday, November 24 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, November 25 at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick's Church, 216 North Lowell Ave., Syracuse. Kenneth will be laid to rest in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Elbridge.
