Kenneth O. Morrison, 79, of Solvay, passed away Friday June 28, 2013 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center with his loving family by his side. He attended Vocational High School. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and employed by Allied Chemical for more than 50 years. Ken was a member of the Solvay Tyrol Club, Solvay Tigers A.C., Solvay-Geddes VFW Stanley B. Pennock Post 2893 and Solvay Kouples Klub. He was an avid bowler, Yankees fan and played in the Over 30 Slow Pitch League in Solvay. He enjoyed spending time with his family and attending his children and grandchildren’s sporting events. Ken was predeceased by his brother, Charles. Surviving are his wife of 60 years, the former Joanne Cornish; son, Kenneth (Elané) Morrison of Spring, TX; daughters, Patricia Wright of Solvay, Rebecca (Robert Carroll) Dupuis of LaFayette and Shelly Morrison of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren, Erin, Shannon, Lauren, Brian, Rachelle and Victor; and Shelly’s beloved dog, Chubbs whom he adored. The family would like to thank Dr. Chiang and his staff for their loving care and compassion during Ken's illness. Relatives and friends may call Monday, July 1 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 2 at the funeral home and at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Church where a funeral Mass will be celebrated.
