Kellard V. Lamoureaux, 90, of Syracuse, passed away Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Central Park Rehabilitation & Nursing Center. Born and raised in Watertown, he graduated from Heuvelton Central School and moved to the Syracuse area in the 1950s. Kellard was an Army veteran of WW II, having served in the campaigns of the Ardennes, Central Europe, Normandy, and Rhineland. He was employed by Nixon Gear for 20 years, owned K&J Kitchen and was a school bus driver for Heuvelton Central School. Kellard enjoyed many years of retirement spending summers on Rainbow Shores in Pulaski and wintering in Weeki Wachee, FL. He was a communicant of Holy Family Church and enjoyed fishing. Kellard was predeceased by his wife, the former Joan Messenger, in 1996. Surviving are his children, Sharon Bishop and Gary Lamoureaux, both of Syracuse, Doreen McAllister of Skaneateles, Nancy (Neil) Cleveland of Alder Creek and Thomas (Pam) Lamoureaux Sr. of Memphis; 16 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends may call Saturday, February 14 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Services will follow at the funeral home. Kellard will be laid to rest in the spring at Heuvelton Cemetery Assn. Inc., Heuvelton, NY. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association of CNY, 441 W.
