Kathryn A. Davis, 90, of Camillus, passed away Friday at St. Camillus Health and Rehabilitation. Born in Madison, WI, she was raised in Hudson, OH, before settling in Syracuse in 1955. Kathryn graduated from Hudson High School and received a bachelor’s degree from Oberlin College and her master’s from Southern Connecticut State University. She was a huge advocate for children, with over 50 years of experience in education. Kathryn retired from Liverpool Community Nursery School in 2003, after 22 years. Kathryn was a member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church and was active in many church groups. She also volunteered with Community General Hospital and Meals on Wheels. Above all, she loved spending time with her family.
Kathryn was predeceased by her son-in-law, Peter Leo in 2022.
Surviving are her husband of 68 years, Morton; daughter, Lynn (Peter) Leo of Cicero; son, Gregory (Janet Curtis) of Lacona; grandchildren, Matthew (Melissa) Leo, Sarah Leo, and Jennifer (David) Villanueva; and five great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends may call Tuesday, June 13 from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
A funeral service will immediately follow at 4:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
Kathryn will be laid to rest in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Syracuse.
