Kathryn Louise Clark

Kathryn “Katie” Clark was born to Mary and Joseph Lando on May 28, 1934, in Syracuse and passed away on October 3, also in Syracuse. She spent her childhood in the Syracuse area and graduated from Vocational High School. Katie joined her fiancée, Kenneth “Ken” Clark, in Texas while he completed basic training and assignment with the USAF. On August 9, 1952, she married Ken in Amarillo, TX. Their union lasted over 71 years.

After his discharge from the military in 1956, Ken and Katie returned to Syracuse with plans to settle down and start a family. Seven years and four boys later, the family grew to six. Along with raising her family, Katie found time to enter the workforce. She had several jobs throughout her lifetime but really enjoyed working at two in particular, the apple orchard at Deer Run Farms and Bristol Laboratories. After retirement, Ken and Katie enjoyed traveling, especially to Katie's second home in Ottawa. They also enjoyed collecting antiques.

Katie was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Edward, Robert, and Joseph. She truly adored her big brothers.

Katie leaves behind her husband; sons, Michael (Maria) of Camillus, Kevin (Tammy) of Tampa, FL, Brian (Shannon) of Huntsville, AL, and Stephen (Cindy) of Tampa, FL; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and her life-long friends, Delphine and Denise.

Services will be private for immediate family, relatives, and life-long friends to gather and celebrate Katie's special life.

Katie will be laid to rest in Onondaga Valley Cemetery, Syracuse.
