Kathryn (Batty) McLachlan, 84, of Camillus, passed away Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at home. Born and raised in Gloversville, she graduated from Gloversville High School and the Katharine Gibbs School in Boston before moving to Camillus in 1958. Before becoming a homemaker, Kathryn worked at Niagara Mohawk and General Electric. She was a former member of the First Presbyterian Church in Syracuse and the Eastern Star in Johnstown. She loved spending time with her family, especially attending all of her grandchildren's school events. Surviving are her husband of 57 years, Walter; daughter, Karen (Brian) Kretschmann of Camillus; son, John (Kathleen) McLachlan of Fairport; grandchildren, Mark Kretschmann of Rochester, Matt (Kathryn) Kretschmann of Corning and Meghan and John McLachlan of Fairport; and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Monday, December 7 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Services will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be private in Johnstown Cemetery, Johnstown. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Kathryn's name to Hospice of CNY, 990 Seventh North St., Liverpool, NY 13088.
