Kathleen T. Cregan, 74, of Camillus, passed away Tuesday at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born to Jim and Babe Connor, October 3, 1943 in Cashel, Turlough, County Mayo, Ireland. Kathleen was a graduate of Parke National School and Technical College in Castlebar, County Mayo, Ireland. She came to the United States at age 17 where she met the love of her life before settling in Camillus in 1974. She was a homemaker, raising her four children and later was employed part-time with JCPenney in Camillus for several years. She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church. Kathleen enjoyed knitting, dancing, Irish music and had a green thumb for gardening. Above all, she loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and beloved dachshund, Rosie.
Kathleen was predeceased by her parents, James and Margaret Connor.
Surviving are her adoring, loving husband of 53 years, Michael; daughter, Karen (James) Ciciarelli of Camillus; sons, Jeremiah (Annette) of Lakeland, Michael (Arlene) of Louisville, KY and James (Stephanie) of Onondaga Hill; brothers, Johnny (Rita) Connor of Manchester, England and James (Maureen) Connor of Turlough, Castlebar, County Mayo, Ireland; grandchildren, Jeremiah, Matthew, Erin, Alyssa and Angela Cregan and Colleen, Emily and Anthony Augello; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family would like to thank all of the nurses that cared for Kathleen at home and at HOA, especially Melissa.
Relatives and friends may call Friday, April 6 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, April 7 at 9 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, 5600 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Kathleen will be laid to rest in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Marcellus.
