Kathleen "Kathy" F. (Bresnahan) Winoski

Kathleen “Kathy” F. (Bresnahan) Winoski, 84, formerly of Schenectady, passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2021due to complications of COVID-19. She was born in Holyoke, MA on July 19, 1936 to the late Cornelius P. and Mary F. (Dowd) Bresnahan. Kathy was the youngest of 10 siblings. She graduated from Holyoke Catholic Schools and for a brief time attended Mount Holyoke College. She was employed as a clerk with the NYS Dept. of Criminal Justice Services for 15 years, retiring in 1999. Kathy was a devout Roman Catholic. She enjoyed ceramics and making gifts for her family and friends. Truly sweet to her core, Kathy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister who loved family deeply. She was a beloved aunt of 29 nieces and nephews and their children.

Kathy was predeceased by her husband, Frank Winoski Jr.; parents, Cornelius and Mary Bresnahan; parents-in-law, Frank and Cecilia Winoski Sr.; siblings, Patrick (Gloria) Bresnahan, Anne (Joseph) Magri, Cornelius “Conjo” Bresnahan Jr., Mary (Joseph) Mulvaney, Elizabeth (William) Miller, Lillian Bresnahan, Christine (Emil) Biscaldi, Edward Bresnahan, and Margaret (George) Lamay; and brother-in-law, Joseph Klekotka.

Surviving are her son, Brian Winoski of Camillus; grandchildren, Kailyn (Jacob) Sgroi of Clay, Sean Winoski of New Orleans, LA and Matthew and Joshua Winoski, both of Syracuse; great-granddaughter, Liliana Sgroi of Clay; sister-in-law, Barbara Bresnahan of Colorado; and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at a later date. Kathy will be laid to rest in Gerald B.H. Solomon National Cemetery, Schuylerville.
