Kathleen M. Yager

Kathleen “Katie” M. Yager, 88, of Syracuse, passed away Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at Van Duyn Home & Hospital. A lifetime resident of Syracuse, she was born on Wednesday, November 9, 1921 and was the daughter of Grant Harrison and Louise Scheirer Harrison. Kathleen was employed by Merchants National Bank. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace Church and a member of the Lakeside Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed Bingo and spending time with her family and friends. Kathleen was predeceased by her husband, Edwin on May 8, 2000. Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, Lorraine and Earl Devereaux of Lakeland, Cynthia and Andrew Clark of Baldwinsville and Linda and James Nolan of Auburn; grandchildren, Edwin (Lisa) Devereaux of Clay, Adam Clark of Syracuse, Andrew Clark of Baldwinsville, and Katie and Kelsey Nolan of Auburn; four great-grandsons; sister-in-law, Arlene Yager of North Syracuse; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral Mass will be at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 1 in Our Lady of Peace Church. Relatives and friends may call Friday, April 30 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Kathleen will be laid to rest in Belle Isle Cemetery, Warners.
