Katherine P. Henrickson

Katherine P. Henrickson, 90, loving mother and grandmother of Solvay, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2012 at Van Duyn Home & Hospital. Born in Rochester on Friday, November 4, 1921, she was the daughter of Calogero Palermo and Michelina Abate Palermo. She was raised in Rochester and was a graduate of East High School. She moved to Syracuse in 1948 and enjoyed her summer home in Wellfleet, Massachusetts since 1984. Katherine was owner of K. Henrickson Real Estate for 25 years. She was a member of the Syracuse Board of Realtors and past president of the Solvay Process Gamma Circle. Katherine was predeceased by her husband, Fredyum Henrickson Jr. 5/13/1995; daughter, Lise K. Henrickson in 2002; and brother, Salvatore Palermo in 2003. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Kay of Westfield, Massachusetts; daughters and sons-in-law, Jana and Robert Catuccio of Westfield, Massachusetts and Inga and Joseph Barnello of Solvay; brother, Angelo Palermo of Webster; grandchildren, Jonathan (Alicea) Catuccio, Eric Catuccio, Joseph Barnello III, Jana-Lise Barnello, Angela Henrickson, and Rachel Henrickson; great-grandchildren, Benjamin and Ella Catuccio; son-in-law, Gordon Zwemer of Bloomfield, Connecticut; several nieces, nephews, cousins; and special neighbors and cherished friends. The family wishes to thank the staff of 3-North, especially Megan M. and Linda S. Relatives and friends may call Sunday, July 8 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Services will follow at 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Private burial will be in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
