June Boardman Santamour

June 6, 1924 — January 18, 2015

June Boardman Santamour, 90, of Camillus, passed away Sunday, January 18, 2015 at Loretto.  Born in Herkimer, she lived in Camillus since 1957 and was a 1942 graduate of Herkimer High School.  A member and past county president of the Onondaga County American Legion Auxiliary, she was also a member and former president of the Knifetown Legion Auxiliary Post 1540.  She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church, member of the Altar & Rosary Society, Golden Agers and Funeral Luncheon Committee.  She enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family.  June was predeceased by her parents, Curtis and Mary Boardman; and sister, Joan Weston. Surviving are her husband of 70 years, James E. "Jim" Santamour; sons, James E. (Rix Harden) Santamour Jr. of St. Petersburg, FL and Timothy J. (Peter Englebrecht) Santamour of Brooklyn; daughters, Sharron (James) McMaster of North Port, FL, Susan (Gerald) Halloran of Canastota and Maureen (Mark) Soutar of Jordan; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Wednesday, January 21 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at St. Joseph's Church, 5600 W. Genesee St., Camillus. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1 p.m.  June will be laid to rest in the Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Food Pantry, 5600 W. Genesee St., Camillus, NY 13031.
