Juan A. Ruffo

November 15, 1935 — May 13, 2018

Juan A. Ruffo, 82, of Marcellus, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family after a long illness. Born in Solvay, he was a lifetime resident of the Syracuse area and a graduate of Solvay High School.

Juan was employed with Allied Chemical Corp., retiring in 1986. He enjoyed winters in Florida and was a NASCAR and Yankee fan. Juan also enjoyed motocross, hunting, fishing, boating, cruises, going to the casino and listening to music, especially the Blues, but above all, he loved spending time with his family and friends.

Juan was predeceased by his granddaughter, Lisa Vaga; and sister, Marion Downey.

Surviving are his wife of over 60 years, the former Anne E. Spencer; children, Laurie R. (Hunter) Mollin of Marcellus, Linda R. (John "Jack") Henderson of Memphis, John J. Ruffo of Marcellus, and Kathryn R. (Gene) Komuda of Camillus; grandchildren, Stephen J. (Shannon) Vaga, David (Kasey) Vaga, Emilee A. (Cody Slate) Argus, Kasey J. Komuda and Jena L. Tafel; great-grandchildren, Lucas J. and Nicholas J. Vaga; and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be private.

A funeral service will be Friday, May 18 at 11 a.m. in St. Francis Xavier Church, 1 W. Main St., Marcellus. Burial will be private in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners.
