Joyce "Gram" (Johnstone) Yauger, 82, of Fairmount, was called home Saturday, October 29, 2016 by our Lord, to be with her husband of 56 years. She knows the promises our Father has made to wipe away our sorrows, take away all the pain, and to live eternally with Him in joy in the beauty and peace of heaven.
Born and raised in Buffalo, Joyce lived in the Syracuse area since 1960. A graduate of Kensington High School, she owned and operated Thru the Looking Glass in Camillus for over 20 years. She was a communicant of Holy Family Church.
Joyce enjoyed traveling and vacationing to Ocean City, NJ, playing trivia games and crossword puzzles. Above all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Joyce was predeceased by her husband, Thomas, in 2012; sisters, Nellie, Jean and June; and brother, Jim.
Surviving are her daughters, Laurie (Dana) Caza of North Syracuse and Lisa Kemz of Fairmount; grandchildren, Jessica, Heather and Aaron Caza, and Ricky Kemz; great-grandchildren, Paige, Riannon, Alora, Aiden and Gracie; and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Thursday, November 3 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
Services will follow at noon at the funeral home and 12:30 p.m. in Holy Family Church where a funeral Mass will be celebrated. Joyce will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners.
