Josephine M. Kulak, of Syracuse, passed away Sunday, September 18, 2011. Born in Adams, she lived in the Syracuse area most of her life. She was employed over 50 years with Hotel Syracuse. Josephine was a strong and independent woman who loved her work. She enjoyed traveling with her good friend, Cathy. Josephine was predeceased by her husband, Frank; parents, Oscar and Flossie Scofield; and brother, Arthur Scofield. Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, Shelly and Al Polge of Syracuse, and Karen and Alton Donahue of California; son, John Wise of Pennellville; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter. Relatives and friends may call Thursday, September 22 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
