Joseph F. Volcko

Syracuse

Joseph F. Volcko, 79, of Syracuse, passed away Monday at The Commons on St. Anthony. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, he was employed by the Syracuse Fire Dept. for over 20 years, retiring in 1994. He was a member of the Camillus Country Club and an avid golfer and card player.

Joseph was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Frances; and brother, David Wilson.

Surviving are his children, Ryan (Kathleen) of Liverpool, Joe (Tyler) of North Syracuse, Dawn Stockton of Camillus, Mary (Kade) Kasner of Spring, TX, Judy (Jim) Lowe of Florida; and John (Jennifer) of Baldwinsville; ten grandchildren; sisters, Loraine Currier and Dorothy Sutton; and brother, Dave (Sharon) Volcko.

Relatives and friends may call Friday, February 17, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. A funeral service will immediately follow at the funeral home. 

Joseph will be laid to rest in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Lakeland.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to HumaneCNY, 4915 W. Taft Rd., Liverpool, NY  13088.
