Joseph Robert Terotta, 89, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Sunday. Born and raised in Old Forge, PA, he later relocated to Syracuse. Joseph earned his diploma from Old Forge High School in 1952 and graduated from Scranton Business College in 1955. His professional journey spanned 42 years with FoodBrands America, Inc., culminating in his retirement in 1997. A devoted communicant of Holy Family Church, Joseph found joy in activities such as fishing, gardening, hunting, and bowling. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
Joseph is predeceased by his parents, Rocco and Nancy; and brother, Richard.
Surviving are his high school sweetheart and loving wife of 68 years, the former Sally Swanek; daughter, Patricia Smith of Oklahoma City, OK; sons, Joseph of Palermo, James (Diane) of Wallkill, and Charles of Central Square; grandchildren, Joseph, Michael, Melinda, James, and Rebecca; great-grandchildren, Kyle, Kymberlee, and Noah; sister, Lucille Terotta of Old Forge, PA; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be private.
