Joseph "Joey" Ciciarelli, 58, of Syracuse, passed away Monday at Upstate University Hospital at Community General, surrounded by his loving family. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, Joey was employed by Gateway Industries for many years. He had a passion for music, especially Elvis, shopping, going home for the holidays, and going out to dinner with his sister. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, as well as those at the Bradford Group Home who loved and cared for him as if he was their own.
Joey had a passion for life and spread joy to everyone who crossed his path.
Joey was predeceased by his parents, Leonard and Joanne Ciciarelli; and brother, Samuel J. Ciciarelli.
Surviving are his sisters, Joanne (Roger) Trombley of Marcellus and Lee (Angelo) Bellavia of Baldwinsville; brothers, Leonard (Maria) Ciciarelli of Oneida, and Michael and James Ciciarelli, both of Camillus; Joey's best friend, James; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Relatives and friends may call Friday, November 18 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Vineyard Church, 312 Lakeside Rd., Syracuse.
A celebration of Joey's life will follow at 1 p.m.
Joey will be laid to rest in Oakwood Cemetery, Syracuse.
