Joseph Prince, 79, of Syracuse, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2016 at University Hospital. A lifetime resident of Syracuse, he was a Marine Corps veteran. A professional boxer in his early years, Joseph owned Pal Joey's Bar in Solvay for over 30 years and also worked as a mechanic at Sears. He loved spending time with family at his camp and enjoyed hunting and traveling, especially to Florida to go deep sea fishing. Surviving are his loving wife of 32 years, the former Donna Campbell; sons, Joseph (Juanita) Prince of Syracuse and Michael (Marla) Prince of Liverpool; stepchildren, Raymond (Karen) Beaulieu of New York Mills and Renee Beaulieu of Solvay; sister, Sarah Georgianna of Clay; brothers, Santo Prince of Eastwood and Frank (Helen) Prince of Baldwinsville; many grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Wednesday, March 30 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus Services will be Thursday, March 31 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
