Joseph G. Pasho, 91, of Camillus, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Upstate University Hospital at Community General. Born in Saranac Lake, he moved to Syracuse in 1940 and to Camillus in 1958. A graduate of Central High School, he attended Syracuse University and was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Joseph retired in 1983 after more than 30 years with Phillips & Associates. He was also employed with O'Brien & Gear for 25 years. He was a communicant of Holy Family Church. An avid golfer, he was a member of the Tuscarora Golf Club. He enjoyed SU sports, but above all, loved spending time with his family.
Joseph was predeceased by his wife, the former Mary Sweeney, in 2010; sister-in-law, Ellen Lehner; and brother-in-law, John Sweeney.
Surviving are his sister-in-law, Audrey Gilsenan of Camden; nieces, Diane Lehner of Roslindale, MA, Sheila Camerota of Fayetteville and Carrie Sweeney of Charlotte, NC; nephews, Tom Willson of Chittenango, Danny Paul Willson of Green Bay, VA, David Sweeney of Parish, Michael Sweeney of Rome and Johnny Sweeney of Charlotte, NC.
Relatives and friends may call Tuesday, January 24 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
Services will be Wednesday, January 25 at 9:15 a.m. at the funeral home and 10 a.m. in Holy Family Church, where a funeral Mass will be celebrated. Entombment will be in Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum, St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt.
