Joseph Alfonso DeVivo, 53, of Fairmount, passed away Saturday at home. Born in Auburn, NY, he was a lifetime resident of the Syracuse area and a graduate of Bishop Ludden High School. He was a classic car collector and master mechanic. Joe owned and operated DeVivo's Auto Service for over 20 years and was a longtime participant of the Syracuse Nationals Auto Show. Joe was a loving and generous son, brother, father and partner. Surviving are his son, Brian; fiancée, Michelle Keefer; parents, Alfonso and Elena (Tortora) DeVivo; sisters, Tina (Kenneth) Greig and Mary Jo (John) Scaia; nieces, Olivia Greig, Taylor, Emily and Stephanie Scaia; and other relatives. Calling hours will be Tuesday, November 3 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, November 4 at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Church. Joseph will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery Mausoleum, Warners.
