Joseph A. Krisak, 85, of Fairmount, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 4, 2005 at Community-General Hospital. Born in Bitumen, Pennsylvania on March 10, 1919, he was the son of Stephan Jacob Krisak and Mary Olex. He lived in Fairmount since 1955. Joe was a buyer for 10 years and personnel director for 10 years for Speno Rail Service for 21 years, retiring in 1984. An Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of the Fairmount VFW. He was also an active member of Camillus Senior Citizens for years and served on its board of directors. He was a communicant of Holy Family Church. Joe was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed vegetable gardening and spending time with his family. Surviving are his wife of 57 years, the former Sarah Yemma; son, David J. Krisak of Fairmount; sisters, Veronica MacDonald of Nichols and Rose Krisak of Horseheads and brother Edward of Eastwood. Services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday, January 8, 2005 in Holy Family Church where a funeral Mass will be celebrated. Friends may call Friday, January 7, 2005 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt.
