John "Sean" Joyce

John “Sean” Joyce, 77, of Camillus, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2017 at home. Born in County Mayo, Ireland, he moved to the U.S. in 1958 and moved to the Camillus area.
John retired in 1996 after 30 years with American Airlines. He was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church. An avid golfer, he also enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren.
John was predeceased by his brother, Patrick.
Surviving are his wife of 54 years, the former Margaret "Diane" Stauffer; son, Sean (Kimberly) of Syracuse; grandchildren, Marisa and Ryan; sisters, Anne Joyce of Syracuse and Mary Flood of Cadiz, KY; brother, Thomas Joyce of NYC; and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Friday, April 21 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, April 22 at 9:30 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Church. John will be laid to rest in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Francis House, 108 Michaels Ave., Syracuse, NY 13208 or Hospice of CNY, 990 Seventh North St., Liverpool, NY 13088-6148.
