John J. Krupka, 89, of Fairmount, passed away Friday at Upstate Hospital. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, he graduated from Vocation High School and was an Army veteran. John was employed with the United States Postal Service for over 30 years before retiring in 1995 and also worked for Scottsman Press for over 30 years. He was a communicant of Holy Family Church and enjoyed spending time with his family.
John was predeceased by his wife, Elaine, in 2017; sisters, Agnes and Cecelia; and brothers, Stanley, Frank, Floyd, Edward, Joseph, Ronald and Chet.
Surviving are his daughters, Karen (Edmund) Kieszkowski Jr. of Westvale and Susan (Richard) Magee of Fairmount; son, John (Kristin) Krupka of Hannibal; grandchildren, Brian, Richard, Joseph, Garrett and Melissa Magee and Richard (Amanda) Wilmot; great-grandchildren, Evelyn Magee and Jake, Noah and Josie Wilmont; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends may call Wednesday, June 26, from 10 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
Services will immediately follow at 12:15 p.m. at the funeral home and 1:00 p.m. in Holy Family Church, 127 Chapel Dr., Syracuse, where a funeral Mass will be celebrated. John will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners.
