John F. Renzi, 67, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Wednesday at Strong Memorial Hospital. A proud graduate of Henninger High School, he dedicated over a decade to running his company, Design Concepts and Enterprises, LLC, having previously worked at B.G. Sulzle. John’s passion for sports was evident in his love for NASCAR, where he was an ardent fan of Rusty Wallace who drove the No. 2 Miller Brewing Co. car. His enthusiasm also extended to SU basketball, the NFL, particularly for the Minnesota Vikings, and the MLB, with a special fondness for the New York Yankees.
John found great joy in camping and fishing with his son, and golfing with his brother. Traveling was another of his favorite pastimes. A dedicated member of the Guns ‘n Hoses Motorcycle Club, John had a deep affection for his motorcycles and Corvette, which were a significant part of his life. He will be deeply missed.
John was predeceased by his parents, John and Marlene.
Surviving are his son, Johnny of Syracuse; brother, Donald (Robyn) of Baldwinsville; nieces, Rachael, Marissa, and Madelyn; and former wife, Mary Lee Chase of Syracuse.
To celebrate John’s life, relatives and friends are invited to gather on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
