John F. Larkin, 92, of Camillus, passed away Saturday, November 25, 2017.
A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, he was a graduate of St. Anthony's High School and a Navy veteran of World War II.
John retired after 40 years from the NY Telephone Co. He enjoyed golf, taking rides around Otisco Lake and watching Lawrence Welk but above all, loved spending time with his friends and family, especially his grandchildren.
John was predeceased by his wife, Ruth in 2014; sister; Elenor Roach; and brother, Bernard Larkin.
Surviving are his daughters, Christine (Dennis) Ward of Cleveland, OH, Mary (Tom) Donahue of Camillus and Eileen (Rick) Word of Baltimore, MD; sons, Jack (Terry) of Marcellus, Bill (Trina) of Naples, FL and James (Tamara) of Redondo Beach, CA; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff at Bellevue Brookdale for their care of John over the past four years.
There will be no calling hours and services will be private. Burial will be in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
