John F. Halloran Jr., 81, of Camillus, passed away Thursday, February 15, 2018 at The Centers at St. Camillus. Born in Boston, MA, he moved to Syracuse in 1963. A graduate of Suffolk University, John was employed with Sears for 17 years before retiring and operating the Kountry Kitchen Restaurant in Marcellus. He was a lifetime member of the Camillus Elks Lodge.
John was predeceased by his wife, Mary (Lally), in 1999.
Surviving are his daughter, Judy (Rick) Halloran Dietz of Rochester; sons, Bruce (Pamela) of Watertown, Brian (Kristine) of Liverpool, John III (Amanda) of East Syracuse and Bill Tweeten of North Dakota; brothers, Robert (Marie) of New Jersey and Don (Sylvia) of Wisconsin; 18 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren with one on the way.
There will be no calling hours.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, February 24 at 9 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church. John will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Mausoleum.
