John “Jack” Corrigan, 91, of Camillus, passed away Thursday at Upstate Community Hospital. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, he was a graduate of Cathedral High School and a U.S. Navy veteran. Jack was a fireman with the Syracuse Fire Department for over 30 years. He enjoyed going to the casino and was an avid golfer and fisherman. Above all, he loved spending time with his family.
Jack was predeceased by his wife, Janice, in 2014; daughter, Kellie Jean Corrigan; parents, Leo and Dorothy; and brothers, Robert and William.
Surviving are his brother, Richard; sister, Dorothy Lewis; and nieces and nephews, Patti (Marty) Moore, Jean (Bob) Bills, Gary (Debbie) Lewis, Laurie (Harry) Leonardo, Nancy (Louie) Cretaro, Betsy (Bob) Orcutt, Debbie (Walt) Gardner, Sharon (James) Hawthorne, Karen (Rob) Grandy, and William Corrigan.
Relatives and friends may call Tuesday, June 27 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
A funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral home.
Jack will be laid to rest in the Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Syracuse.
