John Anthony LoFaro, of Westvale, passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2018. A lifetime resident of Syracuse, he was a graduate of Westhill High School, earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from SUNY Cortland and Juris Doctor degree from Syracuse University School of Law. John was an attorney and owned LoFaro Law Office for 30 years. A longtime member of the Screen Actors Guild-AFTRA, he was an actor in many local theatre groups. John was proud of his Italian heritage and enjoyed boxing, Jiu-Jitsu, kayaking, hiking, nature walks and trips to NYC. Above all, he loved spending time with his family.

Surviving are his daughters, Grace, Maria and Nicole; fiancé, Amanda Smith; parents, Peter and Theresa LoFaro; stepson, Brandon Sachok of Florida; sister, Laurie (LoFaro) Tynan of Camillus; nephews, Matty and Nicholas Tynan; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Relatives and friends may call Sunday, June 3 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, June 4 at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Church, 127 Chapel Dr., Syracuse. Entombment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Syracuse.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in John’s name may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
