Joanne R. (Legnetto) Dubar, 72, of Camillus, passed away peacefully Sunday, October 25, 2015 at home, with family by her side after a short battle with cancer. She was a communicant of Holy Family Church and St. Patrick's/Corpus Christi Church. Her life's legacy continues through her children and grandchildren. Joanne enjoyed playing cards, shopping and spending time at her camp on Otisco Lake. She lived life to the fullest, caring about others before herself. She retired as the budget director at the David B. Falk College of Sport & Human Dynamics at Syracuse University, following a 32-year career. Surviving are her husband of 46 years, David; children, Edith (James) Seymour of Marietta, NY, David (Jessica Galyean) Dubar Jr. of Tucson, AZ, Angela (Aaron) Barbaro of Marcellus and Anthony (Cheryl) Dubar of Camillus; 14 grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends may call Thursday, October 29 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, October 30 in Holy Family Church. Joanne will be laid to rest in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Otisco.
