Joan "JoAnne" Campbell
March 13, 1940 — February 26, 2017
Joan "JoAnne" Campbell, 76, of Camillus, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2017 at Crouse Hospital after a long illness due to complications from diabetes. A lifetime resident of the Camillus area, she was a homemaker for many years and raised five children.
Never being one to sit around, JoAnne took care of the elderly and sick and continued that for many years until her own health prevented her from continuing. She enjoyed family and friends with equal gusto. A devout Catholic, she looked forward to Sunday Mass.
JoAnne will be missed by one and all.
Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Arden; children, Laurie Campbell, Carl (Sue) Campbell, Karen Lucyszyn, Melanie Campbell and Gordon Campbell; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends may call Friday, March 3 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, March 4 at 11 a.m. in St. Charles~St. Ann's Parish, 4461 Onondaga Blvd. Joan will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Charles~St. Ann's Parish, 4461 Onondaga Blvd., Syracuse, NY 13219.
