Joan Kruczkowski Cannizzo, 83, of Warners and Ft. Pierce, FL, passed away Friday at Iroquois Nursing Home. For the past 12 years she lived in Spanish Lakes Country Club Village in Ft. Pierce, FL where she was a member of the Neighbors Helping Neighbors and Bocci Club. Joan was employed by Onondaga County retiring in 1991. She was a former communicant of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church where she served as a Eucharistic Minister, Lector and was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society having served as president for two years. Joan was also a communicant of St. Joseph's Church and enjoyed spending time with her family. Joan was predeceased by her husband, Frederick in 2003. Surviving are her daughter, Pamela J. (Michael) Martin of Clay; sons, Thomas F. (Carol) Cannizzo of Plainfield, IN, Jeffrey D. (Mary Kay) Cannizzo of Amherst, NY and Paul J. (Barbara) Cannizzo of Manlius; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and close friend, James Clark of Fort Pierce, FL. Relatives and friends may call Thursday, May 14, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Services will follow at 12:15 p.m. from the funeral home and at 1 p.m. in St. Joseph's Church, 5600 W. Genesee St., Camillus, where a funeral service will be celebrated. Joan will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice Of CNY, 990 Seventh North St., Liverpool, NY 13088.
