Joan E. Schreyack, 88, of Camillus, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 2, 2020 at The Cottages at Garden Grove, surrounded by her family. Born in Lockport to the late Francis and Elizabeth (White) Dillon, she lived in Syracuse until moving to Camillus in 1962. She graduated from Nottingham High School. Joan worked for Dr. Peter Calabrese for many years and previously worked at General Electric where she met her husband. A communicant of St. Joseph's Church, she was a Eucharistic minister, money counter and member of the funeral luncheon committee. Joan also volunteered at Francis House. Joan will be remembered for her kindness and being fun-loving. She enjoyed playing Bridge, spending time with family and friends and traveling. There was never a place Joan did not want to visit and had a special way of making long-lasting friendships with everyone she met. Whether it was Cape Cod, Gulf Shores or another of her many trips, the friendships she made continued.
Joan was predeceased by her husband of 42 years, William, in 2001; and brother, Gerald Dillon.
Surviving are her daughter, Karen (Max) Fekete of Syracuse; sons, David (Tina) of Liverpool and Douglas of Durham, NC; and nine grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Camillus Ridge Terrace for their loving care of Joanie for over five years. They would also like to thank the staff at Cottage 50 at Garden Grove who continued the personal attention to Joanie.
