Jeffrey R. Kay, 60, of Warners, passed away Saturday, December 16, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center. A loving husband, father and grandfather, he was a lifetime resident of the Warners area.
Jeffrey was a graduate of West Genesee High School and employed for 31 years with Crucible Steel Corp. He devoted over 20 years of his life as a volunteer fire fighter with Warners Fire Dept. He enjoyed hunting and golfing, was an avid Buffalo Bills, SU and NASCAR fan but above all, loved spending time with his family and friends.
Jeffrey was predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Eleanor (Eells) Kay; and brother, Timothy.
Surviving are his wife of 37 years, the former Tammy Wood; daughter, Lisa (Matt) Schreyer; sister, Deborah (Butch) Weiner; brothers, Stephen (Dorothy), Douglas (Pam), James (Kathy), and Brian (Beth); grandchildren, Gabrielle, Michael and Aiden; father and mother-in-law, Donald and Jeanne Wood; sister-in-law, Linda Kay; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends may call Friday, January 5 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
Funeral services will be Saturday, January 6 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
