Jeanette E. Christino

Jeanette E. Christino, 97, of Manlius and formerly of Camillus, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2016 at Van Duyn Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing. She grew up on Grindstone Island across from Clayton, NY and was a graduate of Clayton High School. Jeanette retired after many years as a bank teller with Chase Lincoln and M&T Bank and formerly worked at Hotel Syracuse as a bookkeeper. She was an avid reader and also a member of the Manlius Senior Center.  She enjoyed Strength and Balance Class, Bingo, Bunco, and the "out to lunch" bunch.  She was a longtime communicant of the Catholic Church. Jeanette was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Dominic, in 2000; and daughter, Donna Haskins, in 2008. Surviving are her grandchildren, Peter Grauer of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Jeanne (Thomas) Shaffner of Fayetteville; great-granddaughter, Laurie (James) Sayko; great-great-grandchildren, Ariana Camby and Noah Sayko; and several nieces and nephews. There will be no calling hours. A private celebration of her life will be held in Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum, St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt.
