Jean Stevenson Heffernan, 91, of Camillus, passed away Friday at Elderwood at Liverpool. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, she was a graduate of North High School and Jean was employed with GE and for over 20 years was a dental assistant with the Buschle Dental Group. She was an avid Yankees, Giants and SU fan but above all, loved spending time with family and friends, especially members of "the club."
Jean was predeceased by her first husband, Thomas H. Stevenson, in 1996; and brother, Bruce Walker.
Surviving are her husband, George Heffernan; sons, William (Cynthia) Stevenson, Timothy (Barbara) Stevenson and Scott (Laura) Stevenson; grandchildren, Katharine, Marjorie, Brian, Matthew, Sara, and Michael; and great-grandchildren, Andrew, Megan, Isabella, Alexis, Evelyn, Margaret, Alice, Charlotte, and Emily. Jean is also survived by George’s children, Ed (Cheryl), and Nancy Heffernan, John (Teddi) Heffernan and their children, Brendan, Stephen, and Tom; and three additional great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews;
Relatives and friends may call Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
Services will be Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Jean will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners.
