Jean M. Congdon, 49, of Warners, passed away Sunday, March 25, 2012 at Francis House. A lifetime resident of Warners and Amboy, she was born on Tuesday, June 5, 1962 and was a 1980 graduate of West Genesee High School. Jean received an associate's degree in culinary arts from Syracuse University where she was a cook for a fraternity and sorority for approximately 16 years. She was also employed by Solvay Bank for eight years and most recently was working for Sodexo. Jean was a member of Warners United Methodist Church and a former Girl Scout leader. She enjoyed bowling and softball, was fond of animals, and especially enjoyed her two nephews. Surviving are her parents, Donald Ray Congdon and Donna Jean Winters Congdon; brother, Mark Congdon; nephews, Joshua and Nicholas Congdon; all of Warners; best friend, Barbara Wilmer of Baldwinsville; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Relatives and friends may call Wednesday, March 28 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus with a memorial service to follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be Thursday, March 29 in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners.
