Janice R. (Doolittle) Tuttle, 96, formerly of Fairmount and a resident of Buckley Landing, passed away Monday at St. Joseph’s Health Hospital. Born and raised in Elmira, she lived in Paramus, NJ, and Westwood, MA, before moving to the Marcellus area in 1969. She was a graduate of Elmira High School and attended Rider College in Trenton, NJ. Janice was employed with Children's Mental Health in Camillus and previously a stewardess with TWA. She was a former communicant of Holy Family Church and was a member of the choir. She enjoyed music, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.
Janice was predeceased by her husband, Eugene in 1978; parents, Guy and Ruby Doolittle; a sister; and five brothers.
Surviving are her daughters, Lucinda (Paul) Lappano of Middletown, DE, and Margaret Tuttle of Syracuse; sons, Thomas (Kelly) of Fulton and David (Rose) of Woonsocket, RI; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Relatives and friends may call Friday, June 9 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, June 9 at 12:30 p.m. in Holy Family Church, 127 Chapel Dr., Syracuse.
Janice will be laid to rest in St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery, Elmira.
